Kids Class Instructor (STEM)

As a class instructor, you will lead the children through a fun, inviting circle time that covers the topic of the class. Although the class is labeled STEM, this can be adjust to include any level of interaction and learning. You will be expected to pre-plan classes (themes) at least two weeks ahead of time and coordinate with Director on your plan. If supplies are needed it will be coordinated with the Director in advance.
About the class:
The max participants for each class is 10 total kids. There are 2 classes, one for younger kids (1-2 years old) and one for older kids (2+). The class schedule can be found on our website at Joyousjungle.com. The class is 45 mins long, 3x a week, anytime from 9am - 12pm (see the schedule on the website). You may have the opportunity to bring your child with you to participate in the class as long as agreed to by the Director. Please indicate this in the "other info" section at the end of this application.
This positions is a contract worker position (1099 employee) where you will be paid by the number of participants in the class. You will be responsible for paying taxes on your wages when filing you yearly taxes. Joyous Jungle will pay you on a weekly basis.
You must be able to pass a background check and agree to random drug and alcohol screening as a condition of employment. This is due to working closely with children. You also must enjoy working with and around children.
