Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General Manager to oversee our small team of employees (up to 5) at Joyous Jungle. This individual will be pivotal in ensuring our daily operations run smoothly and in line with our high standards, while also cultivating a positive work environment. They will report to the Director.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure a high-quality experience for all guests.
  • Perform employee evaluations and provide constructive feedback to foster growth.
  • Develop and implement training plans to ensure staff are well-prepared for their roles.
  • Build and manage employee schedules, ensuring optimal staffing levels.
  • Ensure compliance with all county and state training requirements, monitoring progress as needed.
  • Become qualified in various positions to provide support when necessary.
  • Address and document any inappropriate behavior among staff, communicating concerns to the director promptly.
  • Collaborate with the Director on hiring and firing decisions, ensuring the team is aligned with company values.
  • Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for HR-related items, including call-outs, shift swaps, and other employee matters.
  • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve company goals and enhance performance.
Qualifications:
  • Previous 1 year management experience in a child-based customer service or café environment preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a small team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of team training and development principles.
  • Ability to handle conflict and manage employee performance effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to fill different roles as needed.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma 
  • Able to work weekends and some holidays
  • Management or equivalent experience
